Interra

Online Banking Help

With Interra Online banking, traditional online banking functionality meets personal financial management tools like budget management, spending analysis and the ability to assess total net worth.

It is a robust and intuitive system. Don’t let that intimidate you, because you’re in charge. You can choose to use it for the “basics” or for the more enhanced features.  It’s all up to you!

Registration

How do I register or re-register?

First-time users, including users who used Interra’s previous online banking system, must complete an easy one-time registration process by following the on-screen prompts.  It’s an easy 4-step process that will only take about 3-5 minutes.

Step 1:  To confirm your identity, you will be asked to verify the following:

  • Member Number (six or seven digits)
  • Last four digits of the primary member’s Social Security Number (SSN).  Businesses/organizations use the last four digits of the EIN.
  • Birthdate (MM/DD/YYYY format).  For businesses/organizations, this is the date the account was established at Interra.

After you have reviewed the disclosures, you will be asked to type “YES,” agreeing to the terms and conditions.

Step 2: Next you will be prompted to create a username and a password.

You now have the ability to access all of your unique member numbers with one username and password.  Just complete the multi-account access authorization form and fax, mail or deliver it to any Interra office.

Below are username guidelines within online banking:

  • NOT case sensitive
  • May not be the same as the member number or password
  • Must be between 6 and 20 characters long
  • Must start with a letter
  • May only contain numbers and letters (i.e. no special characters such as ?!$@)

There are also some guidelines for passwords as well such as:

  • IS case sensitive
  • May not be the same as the member number or username
  • Must be between 8 and 20 characters
  • Must contain at least 1 number
  • May contain letters, numbers and the following characters ~!@#$%^&*+=

Step 3: Select and answer three (3) security questions from the list provided.

Why? As a security feature, one of these questions will be presented to you when you access a computer that Interra Online banking does not recognize.

You may notice the security questions available to choose from are not necessarily "easy" to answer.  This is because these questions are meant to prevent others without authorization from accessing your account.  Most answers that are "easy" to recall are likely easy for others to figure out, too, because of the information age we live in.  Google, questionnaires distributed via e-mail and sites with personal profiles, like Facebook, may inadvertently reveal the answers to common questions.  Please be assured that the questions are not meant to confuse or annoy you; rather, to offer you the best security protection available, based on best practices.

Step 4: You will create a security phrase and select a security image from the gallery.

You will presented with these items each time you login to Interra Online banking to ensure the authenticity of the session.  There are several pages with images to choose from. Just click on Next to the left of the first image to see additional picture options.

That’s it!  You’re ready to sign in to Interra Online banking.

How do I sign in?

1. There are two ways you can sign into online banking:

  • You can login from the homepage by entering your username and pressing the Submit button.

  • If you bookmark/add online banking to your favorites, then you will enter your username on the sign in screen and then click the Sign In button.

Notice the helpful options at the bottom of the screen:  Sign In, Register, Forgot Username?, Forgot Password?, Forgot Answers?, Forgot Everything? and Locked?

2. The Sign In screen shows the image and security phrase you have selected. You will also enter your password on this screen.

3.  The final step in the login process is to answer the security challenge question.

Once you hit the Next button you will be logged into online banking!

What is the ‘Remember Computer’ option?

Choose this option only if the computer you are using is a private device (i.e. not public like a library or internet café).   If you select ‘Yes’, you will not be prompted to answer a challenge question in subsequent visits unless the cookies are deleted.  Therefore, once you submit your password on the previous screen and click Next you will be logged into online banking, skipping this screen altogether for future logins.
