With technological advancement, e-mail has become a preferred method of communication for many people, including Interra Credit Union employees and members. In order to maintain the confidentiality of your private information, Interra has implemented a secure e-mail encryption service through Zix Corporation (ZixCorp). The service allows the credit union to better protect your personal information – account, social security and other confidental numbers as well as passwords, etc. – from undesirable external parties on the internet.
All electronic communications exchanged between Interra Credit Union and members containing confidential data are encrypted through ZixCorp. Once you register your e-mail address, this secure system allows you to receive and reply to our encrypted e-mail communications easily, and with peace of mind knowing that others are unable to access the information.
When the credit union sends you an e-mail containing confidential information, the message in your inbox will ask you to click on a link in the e-mail, which will connect you to our secure message center.

The link will take you to the Interra Credit Union secure e-mail registration page. You will register a private password to retrieve and reply to our secure messages.

Once registered, just login to read, and reply to, secure e-mails.

Secure messages received from Interra will appear in the inbox, similar to other web-based e-mail accounts.

When you send an e-mail to the credit union while logged into the message center, the message will be encrypted and delivered to Interra, protecting the content.
To learn more about the e-mail encryption system, please visit the Interra Credit Union Secure Email User Awareness Program pages hosted by ZixCorp. If you have any questions about secure e-mail please contact the credit union at 574.534.2506 or 888.432.2848.
