 Lost/Stolen ATM/Debit/Visa credit card

Using Interra ATM/debit cards & Visa® credit cards abroad

Your ability to use Interra ATM/Debit card(s) and/or Visa credit cards is blocked in some foreign countries.  For your security and protection, countries with terrorist ties or those that experience high levels of fraud are included on the blocked list.  ATM machines on U.S. military bases, however, are not affected and are accessible.

Countries with blocked ATM/Debit card access include:  Mexico, Belgium, Cuba, Iran, Lybia, Myanmar (Burma), Romania, Russian Federation, Ukraine and Vietnam.

Countries with blocked Visa card access include: Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Liberia, Macedonia, Myanmar (Burma), North Korea, Romania, Sudan, Syrian Arabian Republic and Zimbabwe.

We recommend that anytime you are traveling outside of the United States that, whenever possible, you notify us of your plans by phone, at any Interra office or by completing our online travel form prior to departure to ensure card accessibility.

The “blocked” status on Interra Visa credit cards can be released for travel purposes.  Prior to traveling abroad, please contact the credit union or complete a travel form, providing travel dates and countries that will be visited.  This ensures your Visa card will be accessible while away.  Unfortunately, the countries listed above will be blocked unless you notify the credit union prior to use.  If you have questions or need more information, please call or stop by any Interra office.

PLEASE NOTE:  We cannot enable Interra ATM cards (Star logo) or debit cards (MasterCard logo) in any of the blocked ATM/Debit countries listed above.  However, we still encourage you to notify us of your travel plans.

Please understand, these safeguards are in place to protect you.
