What is Remote Deposit Capture (RDC)?
Using a check specific scanner, you can scan printed checks and send them electronically to Interra.
What is Remote Deposit Scan (RDS)?
Using a check specific scanner, you can scan handwritten checks and send them electronically to Interra.
What is Mobile Remote Deposit Capture (mRDC)?
Using your mobile phone and a business-specific Interra app, you can take a picture of your larger dollar amount checks and have them electronically deposited into your specified Interra account.
Can I make deposits via my phone?
Yes, Interra Business (INBusiness) offers Mobile Remote Deposit Capture (mRDC). A business can apply for this option to deposit checks individually, via a smartphone, by taking a picture and submitting it within the INBusiness Deposit app. Contact a Business Services specialist to begin the application process at 574.534.2506, ext. 7015, or email email@example.com.

How secure is this method of depositing checks?
Interra is committed to the security of your financial and personal information. The computer systems and online banking site are secured by firewalls, passwords, and encryptions. The credit union also maintains other physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.
What are the system requirements for Remote Deposit Capture?
- High-speed internet.
- Windows Vista (not Starter or Home Basic): Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 and/or 9.
- Windows 7: Microsoft Internet Explorer 8, 9, 10, or 11.
Can I make deposits to other business accounts, and even personal accounts, via the Remote Deposit Capture?
Yes. If you are the primary signer on other accounts, you can enable and designate what accounts the funds will be allocated to for deposit.
When will funds be available after a deposit is submitted?
Deposits entered prior to 4:00 p.m. (EST) on a business day will be verified and deposited by 6:00 pm on the same business day if it is not subject to a hold.
Does everyone qualify for Remote Deposit Capture?

What do I do with my checks after I make a deposit with Remote Deposit Capture?
The checks will be electronically scanned and accessible via online banking. When scanning, you can also choose to have them “stamped” by the scanner to prevent duplication.
Can I have more than one user? Can I have more than one online login ID?
Yes, you will be able to create multi-users and assign rights (what they can see, what they can do) in your online banking as well as specific rights for the RDC service.
Is there a fee to cancel the service?
No. The service can be cancelled at any time; it is not a contracted service.
Is there a dollar limit per check or per day/month?
Yes, these limits are agreed upon and designated in the original agreement document that is signed when initiating the service.
How many checks can I scan using Remote Deposit Capture online per month?

How many checks can I scan per deposit?
This depends on the type or model of your scanner. Interra’s preferred scanner can scan up to 50 deposits at one time.
How do I acquire a custom scanner?
If you already have a check scanner, we can research its compatibility with Interra’s program. If you do not have a scanner, the credit union offers a purchase or a lease option for a preferred scanner.

Who should consider enrolling in RDC (Mobile Remote Deposit Capture)?
- A business that processes high-dollar checks, requiring higher limits.
- A business with a large mobile deposit amount totals in a month.
How long does it take to get set up for Remote Deposit Capture and Mobile Remote Deposit Capture?
Once the agreement is signed and returned, it takes up to five (5) business days to initiate your service and install the access point. An Interra representative will then either schedule a date and time to come to your workplace to install the scanner and offer training for the Remote Deposit Scan service, or, you are notified via email and phone that your Mobile Remote Deposit app is ready to be used.
How does the Mobile Remote Deposit work?
Download the Interra Business Mobile Deposit app from either the Apple Store or Google Play Store. The app will have its own unique login credentials. Log in to the Interra Business Mobile Deposit app and take a picture of the front and back of the check. Submit the check and funds will be credited to your Interra Business account. The service does have a per check processing fee.
