Interra Credit Union Adds Eric Olsen, Mortgage Loan Advisor, to Mortgage Department

December 2, 2025 – Jessica Denton, Assistant Vice President, Manager Mortgage Sales, announced that Eric Olsen will join the Mortgage Department as a Mortgage Loan Advisor and work out of the Two City Plaza office in Granger. With over a decade of experience in the mortgage industry, Olsen brings a deep commitment to exceptional service and a passion for helping members navigate one of the most important financial decisions of their lives.

              Eric Olsen

Olsen’s banking career began in 2011, starting as a teller and advancing through roles in treasury services before transitioning into mortgage lending in 2014.

“I’ve been in mortgage for 11 years,” he said. “I loved every second of it.”

His time in treasury services was pivotal to his professional development, particularly in learning how to create positive experiences for members, even in stressful situations. In his role at Interra, Olsen is focused on assisting homeowners with their mortgage needs while delivering a member experience rooted in trust, communication, and care.

“You can get a mortgage anywhere,” he explains. “But how we make people feel—that’s what matters. Mortgages can be stressful, especially if you haven’t done it before, so we owe it to our members to communicate clearly and often.”

A graduate of Indiana University South Bend (IUSB) with a bachelor’s degree, Olsen draws daily inspiration from his faith and his family. “I’m driven by being the best husband and dad I can be,” he says. “I consider myself an apprentice of Jesus, and the call to be the very best in everything I do is a priority—with grace and humility.”

Originally from the area, Olsen lives in Granger, IN, with his wife, Sarah, and their two children, Avery (16) and Jacob (13). Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, cheering on Notre Dame football, and watching his children play volleyball. He and his family are active members of Granger Community Church, where he serves on the grounds team, mowing weekly and staying involved in church life.

Looking ahead, Olsen is eager to continue building relationships across St. Joseph County to better serve Interra’s growing member base. “My first mortgage experience was unforgettable because of how well I was treated. That’s the standard I want to uphold for every member I meet.”
