Interra Credit Union Adds Lexy Hayford, Mortgage Loan Advisor, to Mortgage Department
December 2, 2025 – Jessica Denton, Assistant Vice President, Manager Mortgage Sales, announced that Lexy Hayford will join the Mortgage Department as a Mortgage Loan Advisor and work out of the Dunlap and Elkhart County Road 17 offices. She has over a decade of experience in the financial industry and a deep understanding of the lending process.

Hayford began her career at Interra more than ten years ago as a Head Teller at the former Peddlers Village branch. Over the years, she has held various positions at the credit union, including Mortgage Processor, Consumer Loan Underwriter, and Mortgage Loan Advisor, building a strong foundation in both consumer and mortgage lending.
Most recently, she spent a year as a Senior Loan Officer at Cardinal Financial, further sharpening her expertise before returning to Interra Credit Union in her current role. Her experience as an underwriter was pivotal in shaping her passion and confidence in lending, leading to a career focused on helping members navigate their mortgage needs.
"I'm thrilled to be back at Interra Credit Union," Hayford said. "This organization has always felt like home, and I'm excited to once again assist our members in achieving their dreams of homeownership and to find more ways to serve the community’s financial needs.”
In recognition of her professionalism and dedication to excellence, she has earned her Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) designation—an achievement that reflects her commitment to continuous learning and industry excellence.
Residing in Edwardsburg, MI, Hayford is married to her high school sweetheart and is the proud mother of two boys. Outside of work, she enjoys reading and actively supports Habitat for Humanity, a cause close to her heart.
