Interra Credit Union Announces Kelly Mcgonagle as Middlebury Branch Manager
December 22, 2025 – Liz Borntrager, Vice President, Senior Manager Retail Delivery, announced that Kelly Mcgonagle has been named Assistant Vice President, Manager Retail Branch at Interra's Middlebury branch. Since joining Interra in 2022, Mcgonagle has demonstrated exceptional leadership, a strong commitment to member service, and a consistent focus on operational excellence. This promotion reflects his dedication to supporting both members and team members while driving a positive, service-focused culture within the branch.
In his new role, Mcgonagle will lead the daily operations of the Middlebury Branch while coaching and developing branch staff to achieve sales and service goals. He will continue to foster an open exchange of ideas and collaborate with his team to connect spend, save, borrow, and protect solutions for current and prospective members. With a strong emphasis on operational integrity and a membership-first mindset, Mcgonagle is committed to delivering exceptional experiences and ensuring the branch continues to meet the evolving needs of the community.
Mcgonagle began his journey with Interra in 2022 as a Member Advisor at the Middlebury Branch. Prior to joining Interra, he spent 18 years with Sprint/T-Mobile, holding a variety of leadership and sales roles ranging from Retail Sales Consultant to Retail Manager.
During his tenure with Sprint/T-Mobile, Mcgonagle was selected for a specialized role focused on observing store interactions across the district to identify retention opportunities. This experience allowed him to lead efforts aimed at improving customer experiences and strengthening long-term loyalty—skills that continue to shape his approach to member service today.
Looking ahead, Mcgonagle is focused on continued learning and professional growth, with a strong desire to help his team grow alongside him.
Originally from outside the area, Mcgonagle now resides in Cromwell, Indiana, and is proud to call northern Indiana home.
