Interra Credit Union Announces New Associate Directors

June 21, 2021 – Laurie Nafziger, Doug Nisley and Jodi Spataro have joined Interra’s Board of Directors as Associate Directors, announced Tim Yoder, Interra Credit Union Chairman of the Board. “Our new Associate Directors are well respected professional leaders,” stated Yoder. “Each of them embodies the mission of Interra with both extensive professional knowledge and great community passions. We could not be more excited to have them as part of our corporate governance,” he added. Serving two-year terms, the Associate Directors are nonvoting members, who receive the opportunity to learn about the credit union and the governance work of the Board of Directors.

Laurie Nafziger

Laurie Nafziger is President and CEO of Oaklawn Psychiatric Center which serves as the Community Mental Health Center for both Elkhart and St. Joseph counties, providing a continuum of mental health and substance use treatment services. Nafziger has been a part of the Oaklawn team since 1987, serving as CEO for the past 15 years. She has served on a variety of boards in Elkhart County, currently including Horizon Education Alliance. She resides in Goshen, Indiana with her husband Roger. Together they have three adult children and five grandchildren.

Doug Nisley

Doug Nisley is a retired partner from Crowe, serving the eighth largest CPA firm in the United States for over 38 years. While at Crowe, Nisley was the Food and Beverage industry leader for the country and served as an Assurances partner during his tenure. He also served on Crowe’s Board of Directors. Nisley is also involved with several charities in the Goshen area. He currently serves on the boards of The Goshen Theater, Inc. as treasurer, the Elkhart River Restoration Association, the Boys and Girls Club of Elkhart County – Goshen Club, and the Goshen Dam Pond EID. A Goshen College graduate, Nisley has been a part of the community since 1980. He resides in Goshen, Indiana with his wife, Angela. Together they have five children and eight grandchildren who also reside in Goshen. 

Jodi Spataro

As Chief Advancement Officer at the Community Foundation of Elkhart County, Jodi Spataro, and her team work with generous individuals and families to help them achieve their philanthropic aims and to connect them with causes aligned to their charitable passions. Spataro joined the foundation in 2005 and now oversees its development, donor services, marketing, communications, and professional advisor’s outreach. Prior to joining the Community Foundation, she worked in advancement and non-profit administration for the University of Notre Dame and the American Cancer Society. Spataro has certificates in Nonprofit Management and Social Marketing from the University of Notre Dame. She is also a cum laude graduate of Bethel University, South Bend, Indiana, in Organizational Management. She resides in Elkhart, Indiana with her husband, Christopher, and their three daughters.
