What is the minimum down payment on an investment property?
Most investment properties require a down payment of 25%. In some cases, if you have additional assets to offer as collateral, down payments may be much less. If you contact any of our commercial lenders we can discuss options, including loan structures that can help keep your down payment as low as possible.
How do I finance my first investment property?
It’s important to do your research first. Evaluate the potential risks of property damage, loss of rents and vacancy. Compare the risks and benefits of buying property with an existing lease vs. starting from scratch. Carefully consider the condition, market rents, number of units and location of the property.
Can you get a 30-year loan on an investment property?
Interra offers terms up to 20-years on investment properties. But, if you’re looking for a longer term to help keep payments low, we can still help with that.
